Pinckney, Collector of the general tax for the parishes of St. Philip's and St. Michael's, to James S. Shingler, Sheriff of Charleston District, authorizing the arrest of the free black, Maria Louisa Silvanneau, of Charleston, for failure to pay the capitation tax of $2.77.
